. - How would you comment on a statement of HE Jonas Gahr Store, the Foreign Minister of Norway, as published by Turan News Agency on June 06, 2007, with regard to Norway’s opening of an embassy in Baku only due to Azerbaijan’s oil?

- We consider it important to first of all verify authenticity of the statements attributed to Minister Gahr Store, since it’s hard to believe that the Foreign Minister insists that opening of Norwegian embassies abroad is bound to oil.

Bush, In Albania, Says Any Kosovo Talks Aimed At Independence

. TIRANA, June 10, 2007 (RFE/RL) — U.S. President George W. Bush said today during a visit to Albania that any talks on the future status of Kosovo must have the goal of “certain independence.”

Bush spoke to reporters in Tirana after meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

Almost 1 week of Hunger strike in Urmu prison

. After Ettelaat took control of the Urmu prison there is no news coming out, also relatives of the prisoners been told by Ettelaat to not to speak to any one about this strikeor any news about the prison.

Also relatives of prisoners are banned from visiting their teenagers or old family members, who some of them suffers from illneses.

Bush calls for action over Kosovo

. US President George W Bush has said a plan for Kosovo’s UN-backed independence should take effect now, despite Russian and Serbian opposition.
Mr Bush was speaking after holding talks with the Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, during a visit to Rome.

After the talks, riot police used tear gas against anti-Bush demonstrators.

Israel Says Military Action Against Iran Possible

. A senior Israeli official says his country has not ruled out military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities though it prefers diplomacy for now. The official also says Israel has informed Syria that it is interested in resuming peace talks. Robert Berger reports from the VOA bureau in Jerusalem.
