Kosovo Leaders Say Patience Running Out On UN Talks

. President Fatmir Sejdiu and Prime Minister Agim Ceku told EU foreign-policy chief Javier Solana today in Brussels that Kosovo was ready to declare independence and ruled out further status talks with Serbia.

Russia Mulls EU Peacekeeping Proposal for Palestinian Territories

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mikhail Kamynin told Ekho Moskvy Radio in Moscow that his country is prepared to consider a European Union proposal to send peacekeepers into the Palestinian territories. But Kamynin added that it would be impossible to develop the proposal without the approval of the Israeli and Palestinian sides.

Mother of detained Azerbaijani student dies after 40 days in coma

. Mrs. Sayyareh Rashtbari was in coma after her son; Hoseyn Yousefi was arrested illegally on May 2007. Family search to fine where Mr. Yousefi is had no result, Mrs. Rashtbari develops psychological illness and it resulted with a koma that last 40 days. It ended by the mother’s death while she was not able to see her son again.

Her funeral took place in a tight security condition, now one had to be invited by family to join the funeral. Mrs. Rashtbari died 7 days ago, but news just came late yesterday as there is security warning by Iranian authority.

Iran: Official Word Of Stoning Heightens Concern Over Condemned Mother

. Jafar Kiani was stoned to death in a small village in the province of Qazvin. He was in his late 40s and had spent the last decade in prison after the adultery conviction.
