Thirty-four corpses found near Red Square in Moscow

. Workers rebuilding a 19th century Moscow house dug up the remains of nearly three dozen people and investigators were trying to determine their identities, a city police official said Thursday.

Police also found a rusted pistol in the estate where the remains of an estimated 34 people were found, said Moscow city police spokesman Yevgeny Gildeyev.

Iraq emptying out, crisis pushing at Turkey’s doors

. Currently, the number of registered Iraqi refugees in Turkey looking to construct a new life is 4,355, while there are an estimated 1.5 million in Syria. But whether those who are currently in Syria will look towards Turkey for respite from the already crowded conditions in Syria is unclear

FBI takes lead in Blackwater investigation

. The FBI has taken control from the State Department of an investigation into the September 16 shooting incident involving security contractor Blackwater in which 11 Iraqis were killed, the department said on Thursday.

The shift occurred for a variety of reasons, including to prepare for the possibility the case could be referred later on to the U.S. Justice Department or Iraqi authorities for further action, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said.
