But wander the markets and byways here and a different reality comes into view, helping to explain why, despite bellicose Turkish threats, an all-out armed conflict may be less likely than is widely understood: the growing prosperity of this region is largely Turkish in origin.

Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan objected to discussions held on US Congress Lower Chamber Foreign Affairs Committee’s passing decision on the Armenian genocide and stated that Azerbaijan’s position remains unchangeable today. The head of the state also said that official Baku supports all operations carried out by Turkey regarding PKK.
