He was in custody for 2 month and been sentenced to 1 year in prison. He was the arrested this May for joining the firs anniversary of May uprising in Azerbaijan. He was in detention for 26 days which 8 days of it was in Ettelaat detention. He was badly tortured.

When returning from Sarab city, Mr Shadi been arrested by Ettelaat officers. He then was taken to an unknown place and just was able to inform his brother, of his arrest.

Regardin Urmunews report, Mr Shadi is a 38 years old Azerbaijani activist living in Tabriz, who was in prison last May because of being involved in mass demonstration for the insulting cartoon published on Iranian official paper.
