Mr. Shadi is in Sarab prison now for his last years case which he was charged for being involved in mass demonstrations in Azerbaijan. He was sentenced to 6 month. He was allowed to have his days reduced after 30 days but he is still waiting for decision from prison managers. The 1 extra day added to his 3 months shows that the judge does not want him to be allowed to appeal or even to have his charges rejected by another judge!

Ali Shadi was arrested on May 2007 during 1st anniversary of 2006 uprisings in Azerbaijan.

Reports from Tabriz says that Mr. Shadi is in Sarab prison now for his last years case which he was charged for being involved in mass demonstrations in Azerbaijan. He was sentenced to 6 month.
