One of Azerbaijani activists who is under pressure is Changiz Bakhtavar. Mr. Bakhtavar is a labour rights and national rights defender.

He was arrested 21st May, been tortured by Ettelaat for days without giving information to his family about where he is kept!. Then was transferred to Tabriz prison which he describes it the worst place between prisons in Iran. He compares the condition of cells and even tortures (physical and psychological) with part 209 in Evin prison, the most dangerous jail in Iran. But he says: It is much dangerous than Evin.
