Four Turkish soldiers were killed and four others were wounded early on Sunday in an armed attack carried out by outlawed PKK separatists on a gendarmerie station in the Yedisu district of Bingol province, the agency reported.

Two PKK separatists were also killed in the clashes that ocurred after the attack, it added.

Security forces launched an operation to capture the attackers who ran away following the clashes.
