In a few days a road bridge will be brought online in the intersection of Darnagul Highway and Ziya Bunyadov Avenue in Baku.
Azerbaijan Road Service press secretary Punhan Mursaliyev told APA-Economics that the 4-track bridge is 291 meters in length. Turkish Yapilar Company has commenced construction works since May, 2006.
Azerbaijan Road Service plans to bring online all the road bridges and underground tunnels by this year-end.
Since March, 2006 Azerbaijan has started to build tunnels and bridges in Baku to solve the increasing traffic congestions. The project envisions construction of 13 pedestrian tunnels and 9 bridges by the end of 2007. 4 bridges and 3 tunnels have been commissioned.apa
