“One must forget the talks about the territorial integrity of Georgia, because it is impossible to force Abkhazia and South Ossetia to join Georgia”, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told Echo Moskvi Radio, APA reports.
Lavrov noted that Georgia-Ossetia conflict could be solved only through the ways accepted by the both sides. The minister didn’t make these ways public. On Thursday leaders of separatist regimes in Georgia have signed principles of solution signed by the French president. Recently analogical plan of solution was signed by the Georgian and Russian presidents too.
The proposed principles of solution contain force renunciation, permanently stopping the military operations, Georgian armed forces’ return to the permanent posts, direct access to the humanitarian assistance and Russian armed forces’ return to the place of departure. The sixth principle earlier entitled as “Securing the ways of international discussions over Abkhazian and South Ossetian status” was renamed at the Russia’s suit as “Giving the guarantee to Abkhazia and South Ossetia for international security and stability”.apa
