Recently one of the members of the Islamic Committee of Urmie’s City Council! Claimed that Western region of Azerbaijan is belong to Kurdistan! This claim has created tenssion and caused several people to complain to the members of Iranian autorithy. Kurds came to Azerbaijan years ago as temporary guests, but now they claim land from Azerbaijan! According to Ms. Xadijeh Mansouri, a Kurdish member of ICUCC (Islamic Committee of Urmie’s City Council) western Azerbaijan should be called northern Kurdistan! and Turks must be treated as temperory guests of so called kind Kurds!

Regarding information received by BayBak, Azerbaijani activists have singed a letter with large number of undersigned to force government to put stop on Kurds fals claims and also terrorist activities of PJAK and PKK those are acting freely in historical Turkish lands.

It is obvious that Fars regime is following a path to create tension between Turks and Kurds, but it is essential that these tensions are taking place in Azerbaijani lands. There is no reason to play their game and loose lands to them as we have lost before. Now, all Azerbaijani activists are unified to tackle this problem.

Some Kurdish students from minority groups in Azerbaijani universities have published a statement that says if government of Iran do not stop Turks from complaining against Kurds terror! They will act by themselves and will not accept any responsibilities for Kurds harsh actions! It is pointed to one of few Azerbaijani magazines, Ulduz, that is being published under control of government and its pages contain only 20% in Turkish, mainly poems or stories!
